Hi! I’m Rachael, a home baker who creates dairy-free, indulgent treats. As a sweets lover and former candy addict, I believe we shouldn’t have to give up everything we love in pursuit of wellness. That’s why I create delicious and approachable desserts that you can enjoy, in moderation, no matter your goals! Because, let’s face it, sometimes you just need a giant slice of frosted cake, sans guilt!
Since becoming pregnant in 2016, and attempting to limit my sugar intake, I’ve adopted a “moderation over deprivation” mindset. Since cutting out sugar completely isn’t at all realistic for me, I decided to stop depriving myself of the treats I love. Then, after having my daughter, I learned that dairy had been causing skin issues for me for nearly 15 years. That’s why every recipe I create is made without dairy. You’ll see that I also enjoy baking with coconut sugar, unrefined cane sugar, vegan butter, and olive or coconut oil.
My goal with Sugared & Stirred has always been to create delicious dairy-free recipes that taste just as good as the “real deal”. Here you’ll also find some gluten-free, vegan, and better-for-you desserts. I want you to enjoy baking and indulge in the fruits of your labor!
